A year has passed...

It's funny how I always dream of 'owning' a blog to post all things that matter to me. In the end,  I end up surfing other blogs and I forget about mine. But hopefully this time around it will be different...

Things that happened between the last post and this;

-we didn't buy the house, the first bid was our highest bid, so we just sat there not believing how high the final price was.
-by the end of february 2012 we were expecting a third baby.... Due november 10th... This seemed light years away...
-time flew by, Sylvester started pre-school, Camilla still stayed at home with me. We went skiing, we went hiking in summer, we visited my sister in Chicago. And school started again. My belly grew and grew, but I still didn't realize we had a third one on the way. September came and went, and by mid - october I started panicking. A new BABY!! Gosh.
-Julius was born on the day he was expected to, November 10. Which is a good thing in two ways.... His birth date is 10.11.12 (European date) and November 11 is a holiday in Belgium! Great for parties when he gets older :-)  But the main thing is, he's perfect.

And life goes on, a lot faster even. It's a wonderful thing, having kids, watching them grow up, day after day. It's not always easy being a stay-at-home mom, but being a working mom with three kids won't be easy either. I want to be as honest as I can here. As long as no one's really listening, i'll use this space as a private diary, for frustrations and hopes and honest to God's thruths.

moving house?

We are thinking about moving to another place, a bit smaller and less time-consuming. The picture above is in this place.

I love where we live; the house, the garden (we've only lived here for 2.5 years, after a year of renovations...) I especially love our garden in all its perfect imperfection, but it takes up all of our spare time. I used to have a big garden at my parents' place. But as a kid you tend to want to go beyond the gate. So I think our kids wouldn't mind the move. Also, this other house is in the village, so we could walk and bike anywhere! The library, the post office, the swimming pool, the shops...

It's a public sale, so I just hope there won't be any people with more money to offer than we do :-)
